Rise of the Planet of the Apes is quite the mouthful as far as movie titles go, but the film itself is more fun than most summer blockbusters that came out of Hollywood this year.But Rise of the Planet of the Apes makes no bones about the fact that ultimately it’s all about the spectacle. The film takes flight in its final 20 minutes when the apes wreak havoc on the city. The CGI and special effects are seamless, and Andy Serkis invests heart into Caesar, delivering the best and only performance of this film.I’m going with three out of five for Rise of the Planet of the Apes. It’s unabashed silly fun, and a good way to unwind over the weekend.

The revived and revised edition of Planet of the Apes franchise, inspired by French author Pierre Boulle's La Planète des singes is, what do you know, awesome. Rise of the Planet of the Apes is no classic but, decidedly, a cut above standard summer blockbusters. It may not conceal its aspiration to rock the box office but is dignified enough to proffer credibility before staking claim. For it has several grand moments, and momentous they are, that level the thrill experienced only when watching memorable cinema.So... bring it on, apes! Yeah, even the damned, dirty ones.

Don't mess with nature: this is the simple message of this superbly mounted film. But more than the simplicity of the message, it is the fact that this must be one of the warmest and most humane sci fi fantasies of late that makes Rise of the Planet of the Apes such a gripping saga. It's warm, it's sensitive, it's dramatic, it's larger-than-life... Yes, Rise of the Planet of the Apes is spectacular cinema with loads of lessons for money and power obsessed mankind.This one's both a mass entertainer and a film with a high intelligent quotient. In short, Rise of the Planet of the Apes is everybody's weekend getaway.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes, a reboot of the Planet of the Apes franchise, narrates the events that led to apekind eventually making a monkey out of humanity.Even though you may go in with an idea about how things might play out, the film always manages to keep you on the edge of your seat.Though, the apes are significantly less anthropomorphic than the way they are when Taylor sees themin the future and, in all likelihood, we may not be seeing the Statue of Liberty halfway submerged on the dreadful Planet of the Apes in any future sequel, with Rise, the series starts off on the right paw.

If you're an animal lover, then Rise of Planet of Apes is a must watch. It's a thrilling ride. The beautifully captured forests and Serkis' amazing portrayal of an ape, are all are worth a watch. Watching apes at loggerheads with humanity, is a thrilling experience.This is surely a flick that'll equally excite your kids. And, if you're fond of action flicks then, this one's your movie this weekend.

"Rise of the Planet of the Apes" makes for an impressive, if predictably downbeat prequel to a franchise famous for unhappy endings. Thanks to stunning advances in performance capture technology, director Rupert Wyatt successfully ditches the cumbersome makeup appliances of past chapters, building the story around a cast of photoreal CG simians convincing enough to identify with as characters, rather than just special effects. Created in the same downer spirit as the recent "Terminator" prequels, "Rise" rewrites "Apes" lore to provide an alternate history for mankind's extinction, brought about by genetic testing rather than atomic irresponsibility.

There are two categories of people who will be disappointed by The Rise of the Planet of the Apes - those seeking an hour and a half of apes killing humans, and those who really enjoyed Tim Burtons ill conceived remake. For everyone else, get ready for an origins film that really lives up to the name.With winking nods to, and carefully established foundations for, the original films, The Rise of the Planet of the Apes will please old fans and win over a menagerie of new ones. This is a genuine evolution in digital film making, matched by a razor sharp script that delivers an apetastic action blockbuster.
